Update .gitignore with python, C, and IDE ignores

These are common ignores that I have for a lot of my projects. They might have been generated from https://www.toptal.com/developers/gitignore but I honestly can't remember. Feel free to exclude some of these given the limited scope of this project (ex. no C/C++).
