sample gridded data
Paolo, I've provided some a sample file that was gridded with Bob's Matlab code, you can find it on thunder here:
/data/steved/grid_example_for_paolo/
There are 3 input IFFC* files and then the grid* output file:
. grid_out_IFFCOD_aqua_d20140202_t205000_c20170130211136_ssec_dev.265K_LUT_no_bias.mat . IFFCMO_aqua_d20140202_t205000_c20161129225051_ssec_dev.hdf . IFFCOD_aqua_d20140202_t205000_c20170130211136_ssec_dev.265K_LUT_no_bias.nc . IFFCTH_aqua_d20140202_t205000_c20170114162721_ssec_dev.hdf
As a side note: IFFCMO = Cloud Mask IFFCTH = Cloud Top Height IFFCOD = Cloud Optical Properties
Unfortunately the file you probably want to grid the cloud properties file is in HDF4 format but when Bob created this gridded product I think it used variables from all 3.
But this raises two questions:
- Is the gridding program going to support gridding from two files at the same time?
- Do we want to support these HDF4 files? I suspect we kind of have to unless Bob is planning to change his gridding code to read Gala's new netCDF4 product and that is what we do our validation against
