+A very weird packaging problem caused the previous version of Glance to crash when loading files in the gui. This version was rebuilt from scratch and thus avoided that pitfall. 
+
+Stats will now handle loading string variables from NetCDF files more gracefully instead of crashing with no explanation when you try to load one. 
+
+Glance will now be more explicit in setting the report encoding when creating statistical reports in the GUI. So now when you ask for statistics the GUI won't crash because the report generation code forgot how unicode works. 
+
+The new config file values from 0.6.0 will now work as advertised in stats. Previously Glance didn't have those hooked up quite correctly for that one command. 
+
+Added an internal time profiling module for programmer convenience. 
+
+Fixed a typo in the call to the deprecated command plotDiffs. Please don't use that command unless you must, but for now it will function if you do try to use it. 
+
+Removed a duplicated example config file inside the Glance code.
